William Collins Laird

William Collins Laird died of apoplexy after a ten day illness, at 12:30 Thursday noon. He was one of Bellwood's substantial citizens, and employe at the Bellwood foundry. A son of John Stewart and Anna Elizabeth Leffard Laird, both deceased, he was born January 21, 1867, in Hartslog Valley, Huntingdon county. In 1904 he was united in marriage to Miss Sadie Gebhart, who survives hime, with eleven children: Mrs. Edna Lewis, of Tyrone; Leroy, Earl, Edwin, Bertha, Erma, Harbert, Alice, Donald, Clarabelle, Marrill all at home, one grandchild survives and these brothers and sister: Mrs. G. Stoke, of Altoona; Mrs. William Henderson, R. R. Clyde, Harry E., and John W., all of Bellwood. Mr. Laird was a member of the Fraternal Mystic circle at Tyrone. Funeral service will be held at his late home Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock conducted by the Rev. Samuel Barber, pastor of the Presbyterian church. Interment in Logan Valley cemetery.
