Died at his home, 338 South Second street, Bellwood, last night at 10 o'clock of a heart ailment. He was born on April 10, 1876, in Antis township, a son of John S. and Elizabeth Leffard Laird. Mr. Laird married Alice McFarland on Aug. 13, 1903. She survives with one son, Walter R. of Baltimore, Md., and one daughter, Mrs. Thelma Carson of Philadelphia. He was a member of the Excelsior Fire company, Bellwood, Bellwood sportsmen's association and K.O.T. M, Bellwood. Mr. Laird was a retired painter for the Pennsylvania railroad.
