Mrs. Annie E. Laird

At the home of her daughter, Mrs. W. J. Henderson, near Bellwood, Mrs. Annie E. Laird died at 6:15 Tuesday evening of a complication of diseases, from which she had been a sufferer for a long time.

Annie Elizabeth Leffard was born in Hartslog Valley 74 years, 6 months and 8 days ago. Her early life was spent in the vicinity of Alexandria, where she was married to John Laird, who died in 1889. They went to the vicinty of Bellwood shortly after their marriage and Mrs. Laird was well know and highly esteemed by many people in Blair and Huntingdon counties. For sixty years she had been a member of the Presbyterian church, faithful and consistent, and in that faith she died.

She is survived by two daughters and four sons. Mrs. Henderson, at whose home she died; Mrs. Viola Stoke, of Altoona; William Collins, Russell Clyde; Harry B. and John W., all of Bellwood; also by two sisters, Mrs. Rose Laird, of Altoona, and Mrs. Scott Beegle, of Tyrone. Eleven grandchildren also survive.

The funeral service will be held at the Henderson home at 1:30 o'clock Friday afternoon. Interment in Logan Valley cemetery.
