Mrs. Bertha Leota Lett Brumm, 60, Mediapolis, died Monday (June 19, 1893) at Burlington hospital.
Born at Mediapolis on June 19, 1893, she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter T. Lett, and a life member of the Presbyterian church.
She was married on February 4, 1915, to Clayton Brumm.
A member of the ladies aid and missionary circle for many years, she was a member of the local garden club, an honorary member of the American Legion auxiliary, a treasurer of the Viola Rebekah lodge, and at one time she had played an active part in state, district, and local Amvets activities.
Surviving are her husband; four daughters, Mrs. Helen Wuellner, Chicago, Mrs. Dorothy Stodt, West Burlington, Mrs. Lorna Allen, Iowa City, and Mrs. Kathleen Ericson (sic: Erickson), Burlington; two sons, William L., New London and Dale H., Mediapolis. Also surviving are six grandchildren and other relatives. She was preceded in death by a son and a brother.
Last rites will be held at the First Presbyterian church of Mediapolis on Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. in charge of the Fry funeral home. Reverend Edward Mohr, pastor of the church will officiate, assisted by Dr. H. J. Findlay, Burlington. Burial will be in the Kossuth cemetery.
