William L. Brumm, 65, of 314 Vernon, West Burlington, died Monday, May 12 (1986), at Burlington Medical Center.
He was born March 5, 1921, in Mediapolis, to Clayton and Bertha Lett Brumm. He married Leota Walker in 1952; she died in 1967. He later married Pauline Swanson on July 15, 1972, in Stronghurst, Illinois.
He was a 1938 graduate of Mediapolis High School and was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of the New London Presbyterian Church and the VFW. He was an operating engineer at IAAP for 38 years.
Surviving are his wife, West Burlington; one son, Dennis, San Francisco, California; one brother, Dale, Sioux City; and two sisters, Lorma Allen, Davenport, and Dorothy Stodt, West Burlington.
Services for Mr. Brumm will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Lunning Chapel with the Reverend Richard Gilbert officiating. Burial will be in Kossuth Cemetery, Mediapolis.
A memorial has been established for the Burlington Medical Center Chapel.
