Walter Theodore Lett, 87, a long-time resident of the Mediapolis community, died May 23 in Memorial hospital, Mt. Pleasant.
Lett suffered a stroke about a year ago, and since then had been living at the Kennedy nursing home, at Mount Pleasant.
A native of Benton township, Lett was born March 23, 1866, the son of Charles and Caroline Lett. On March 16, 1892, he was married to Ella Johnson, who died October 16, 1930.
A son, Charles Lett, also died previously, as did five brothers and two sisters.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Clayton Brumm, Mediapolis, six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at the Fry chapel at 2:30 Monday afternoon. Burial will be in the Kossuth cemetery.
