Funeral services were held at the Assembly of God Church in St. Francis last Friday afternoon for Charles Miller who had passed away at the home in St. Francis on Wednesday of last week. The services were conducted by Rev. Allen, of Bird City.
Charles Jay Miller, son of Mr. and Mrs. Loyd Miller, was born near St. Francis, July 18, 1937, and departed this life May 14, 1941, age 3 years, 9 months, and 26 days. During his short life he had made a place for himself in the home and his passing leaves the family in sadness. Two brothers, Leroy and Keith, and two sisters, Betty Lou and Phyllis, preceded him in death. Surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Loyd Miller, two brothers, Harold and Larry, four grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John Browning of St. Francis, and Mr. and Mrs. George Stephenson of Imperial, Nebraska, several aunts, uncles and cousins and a host of friends.
