Bio and Links
Bio Photo My ancestry interests on my Dad's family are Germans: Bonorden and Knipling; on my Mom's family are Edwards and Vinson. My husbands family are Jentsch's, Kneuppers, Scheefs and Ruetters (all German families).

One of my goals is to 'connect' all the 'residents' of the Gause and surrounding cemeteries to their families buried there and elsewhere. I appreciate all the help I get from other FAG members with the connections and corrections, thank you!

Currently working on cemeteries in Milam, Burleson and Robertson Counties. I am also the caretaker of the Gause Cemetery.

** I believe that those that have gone on, deserve to be known. This isn't about 'me' but about 'them'. All pictures are given freely to anyone to use but photo credit would be polite and greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I live in Southeastern Milam County near Gause, TX. I am happy to help with any cemetery locations near me.

**If you send me an email via the edit other and you don't hear from me then please use jentsch@farm-market.net . I answer! If I don't, it means I didn't get it! Thanks ***

**I have no problem transferring pages outside the FAG guidelines but you MUST have an email address. I understand 'disabling' your messages on FAG but please send me a private message. ***

You was here but now You've gone,
You've left your name to carry on,
Written in stone or just pages in time;
There is no real death until you are forgotten,
So let those that read this remember you often.
***Forget You Not******

I am with you still - I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sunlight on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush,
I am the sweet uplifting rush,
of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not think of me as gone -
I am with you still in each new dawn.

Winston Mathis Parker
Hello Holly, I can't recall if I have contacted you in the past, but Winston Mathis Parker #140864286 was the son of Carmen Parker and Myra Mathis Parker, so you did good linking them. My father was Hollis Allen (son of Walter C. Allen and Myra Mathis (Allen) Parker) and Winston was his half brother. The birth certificate does indeed say he was the son of Walter Allen and Myra Mathis; I suppose that was best at the time. The informant on the death certificate, Oralia Parker, was Winston Parker's wife. I've located an Oralia Parker, buried in Hidalgo County, but I'm not sure this was his wife just yet. I'm going to do more research and send you an edit when I believe I've located her. She could very easily still be living. They had two daughters together before Winston's death. Also, my mother may have a photo of Winston; I'll post a photo if she does indeed have one.

James Hughbanks
I found the death record for a "colored" Soldier, James Hughbanks who died August, 3, 1923 at the Veteran's hospital in Whipple, Arizona. It says his remains were sent to Calvert, Texas. He was born August 31, 1893 (his WWI draft says 1894) He contracted Tuberculosis in 1919 at Camp Jackson, South Carolina. death record link:

It looks like you know a lot about the cemeteries in Robertson County. I would like to know where he is buried and if he is in a marked grave. Do you know where burial records can be found for your county?

Vinson
Hi Holly, I noticed a post you left for William Gorman and wonder if I could be related to your Vinson family. My Vinson family came to Mississippi from North Carolina. William and I firmly believe our Vinson families are related but we haven't been able to prove it yet. My Dad did the Ancestry DNA test and his results are on gedmatch.com. Would love to hear from you. Veloyce
