RE: Nancy Francis
Of course, that is the thing to do. She must have really been a memorable person to leave so many named for her --what a legacy! You'll probably never know as they're many misspellings on old marriage records as well as many errors on Death Certificates. So, the majority rules and needs to at this point. It would be interesting however to know if this unusual name "Brunette" which is in my family as well really started out as Brunetta. Happy Trails, Nancy

What did you conclude on the name Brunette/Brunetta? I'm just curious since as I said my Great Grandfather's second wife was Brunette. Thanks, Nancy

I did accept your edit for mother, but had already deleted her so edit will show no change. Should have caught that as I had all the information in the bio. Thanks

RE: Nancy Francis
Hi - I was researching something related to her on a memorial I created (don't recall which one now), and when I saw the name it just caught my attention as my name is Nancy and I had a step-grandmother named Brunette. We thought to be a very strange name, but I've seen it on several occasions in my research. So both things caught my eye and I simply imvestigated out of curiosity. I don't know which is correct but I will say that Brunetta makes a little more sense to my ears than Brunette! It's the only name I ever saw for my step-grandmother however. And of course as she was a step-grandmother as well as the second wife and they had no children (she was an old maid school teacher), no one was named after her.

I will have to try to find time to go back and investigate --we have some serious illness in the family of an elderly family member and it's taking a lot of my time. However, I'm fairly sure her marriage records were one of the places I found "Nancy Brunetta". I also found Dr. Christopher Columbus Francis on some document, but once again don't recall exactly what it was because I was just passing on info that wasn't on my own family. So many names --especially ladies' names were shortened, made into a nickname, etc during the 1800's that it makes it very hard to be sure. I'll try to get back to you. Kind Regards, Nancy

RE: Nancy Francis
Nancy' she name was on her marriage record and I'll have to (when time permits) find where I located Dr. Francis' middle name. I ran on to them in other research and by chance. I'm not related. If I can locate that again I'll certainly send it to you. I believe I sent the marriage record. Of course, another Nancy generally catches my eye. I'll let you know if I can find it again. Happy Trails, Nancy

Do you have any idea who the father is of Sallie Morton Baker who d. Ardmore, OK 1905. She is the mother of Fanny Priddy Mullins.

I have the marriage cert for Sally Ann Morton and Thaddeus Baker from Ohio, parents of "Fanny" but seems a cousin signed giving permission and not the father.

I need to prove who the father is of Sallie Morton. Thanks for any information.

Memorial # 65809884
Hello! Thank you so much for adding this memorial to the site. Randy is actually my father. I was wondering if you have a connection to him or if you just added him. I am attempting to go through our family tree and add any memorials that are not currently in the system. If you want to transfer the memorial to me, you can. But, please don't feel obligated. You have done a wonderful job and I thank you for that. His mother and father are buried right across the sidewalk from him at Bluebonnet. I notice you have his dad, Melvin, my grandfather, linked, but not his mom, Jerrye. If I cannot locate her on the site, I will add it.
