Fae Behringer Althage, 85, of Waco, went to be with her Lord and Savior Wednesday, July 11, 2012. Services will be 1 p.m., Saturday, July 14, 2012, at St. Mark's Lutheran Church with Pastor Jim Price officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home.

Myrtle Fae and her twin sister, Mildred Mae, were born in Riesel, Texas, to the late George and Mary (Matthys) Behringer. Fae's twin died in infancy. Fae was baptized on September 26, 1926, at St. John's Lutheran Church, Battle, Texas. She was confirmed on April 6, 1941, at Grace Lutheran, Mart. Fae attended the Riesel schools from grade one through twelve. She continued her education at Four-C College, Baylor University and McLennan Community College. Fae was united in marriage to Allen Althage at Grace Lutheran in Mart. Traveling throughout much of Texas with M.J. and Dorothy Whitehead, and Harold Gascamp, a beloved friend for many years, gave her a greater awareness of God's glorious creation and the anticipation of seeing Jesus face to face. She never doubted that Heaven was her home.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Allen, on July 5, 1986.

She is survived by her daughter, Diane Petrofsky and husband, Dr. James Petrofsky, of Needville, TX; brothers-in-law, Tom Lehrmann, of Riesel, Johnnie Geltemeyer, of Waco, and Irvin Althage, of MO; sister-in-law, Cora Menke and husband, Emil, of Union MO; and many other relatives and numerous friends.
