THORNE - John Lafayette, age 81 years, died Monday morning at a local hospital. Survived by wife, Mrs. J. L. Thorne of Weatherford, Texas; five sons, W. T. and M. E. of Jewett, Texas; R. J., Carl and M. C. of Dallas; three daughters, Mrs. Minnie Moore, Mrs. Irene Reid and Mrs. Lillian Sigmund, all of Dallas. Services to be conducted at Loudermilk-Sparkman Chapel Tuesday, at 2 o'clock, Rev. A. C. Parker officiating.
