Mr John Clifford Cates of Stockbridge, Ga died June 18, 1976. Surviving are daughters, Miss Irene Cates, Stockbridge; Mrs Pauline Hulsey, Braselton; Mrs Ada Jeanette Crumbley, Morrow; sons, Mr Hiram Cates, Stockbridge; Mr Elmer Hugh Cates, Shreveport, La; daughter-in-law, Mrs Charlotte Stanford, Jonesboro; 15 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon June 20 at 3 o'clock from Tanner's Baptist Church with remains placed in state at 2:30. Rev Kimsey Warr, Rev Herman L Wyke will officiate. Interment church cemetery. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers and please meet at the residence at 1:30. D T Carmichael & Son, Inc.
