Funeral services for Huey Pierce Allen, age 89 of Oak Grove, Louisiana, will be held at 2 PM on Sunday, May 21, 2017 at Hill Baptist Church near Oak Grove. Reverend Leslie Yates will officiate. Interment will follow in the Kilbourne Cemetery in Kilbourne, Louisiana. Services are under the direction of Cox Funeral Home of Oak Grove.
A time of visitation with the family will be held from 4 to 8 PM on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at Cox Funeral Home in Oak Grove.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Andrew Jackson Allen and Pearl Perritt Allen; 6 brothers: John Allen, Bill Allen, Marshall Allen, Steve Allen, Dewey Allen and Robert Allen & 2 sisters, Helen Pullin and Ida Mae Bogus.
Huey is survived by his wife, Katie Ruth Pullin Allen of Oak Grove, Louisiana; son and daughter-in-law, Eddie and Debbie Allen of Kilbourne, Louisiana; daughter and son-in-law, Martha and Ferril Albritton of Ruston, Louisiana; grandson and his wife, Mitchell and Barb Albritton of Houston, Texas; grandson and his wife, Heath and Meg Allen of New Orleans, Louisiana; granddaughter and her husband, Holly and Andy Barnette of New Orleans; 2 great grandchildren, Jack Albritton and Emma Albritton; brother and sister-in-law, Aubrey and Shirley Allen of Oak Grove; and sister, Annie Dawson of Oak Grove.
