Funeral services for Robert Leonard Allen, age 81, of Oak Grove, LA will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday January 9, 2008, at Macedonia Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Howard and Rev. Charles Pullin officiating. Burial will follow at the Kilbourne Cemetery under direction of Cox Funeral Home of Oak Grove, LA. Visitation will be Tuesday January 8, 2008, from 2:00 P.M. till 9:00 P.M. at Macedonia Baptist Church near Oak Grove, LA. Mr. Allen was born Jun 4, 1926 in Kelly, LA and died Jan 7, 2008 in Oak Grove, LA. He is preceded in death by his parents, Andrew Jackson Allen and Pearl Perritt Allen; four brothers, Marshall Allen, Johnny Allen, William Allen and Dewey Allen; and one sister, Helen Pullen. Survivors include three sons; Lloyd Allen of Oak Grove, LA; Robert Edwin Allen of Eudora, AR; Marvin Lee Allen of Oak Grove, LA; 2 daughters, Linda Mae Armstrong of Monroe, LA and Barbara Gayle Rodriguez of Shreveport, LA; three brothers, Huey Allen of Oak Grove, LA, Aubrey Allen of Oak Grove, LA, and Steve Allen of West Lake, LA; two sisters, Ida Mae Bogus of Shreveport, LA and Annie Dawson of Oak Grove, LA, 15 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be John H. Costello, James Bruce, Scott Dennis, Thomas Boothe, James Lawson, and Jason Wright.
