I am from NE Louisiana and my husband is from Southern Arkansas.
After becoming a housewife in 2002, I have time to work on our family trees and as a Find A Grave volunteer.
My family tree: Chapman/Averett/Leggette/Toney (from Louisiana and Mississippi)
My husband's family tree: Yocom/Clift/Summerhill/Sweeney (from Arkansas and Alabama)
I live close to all of the cemeteries in the Ridgeland, MS. area (Jessamine, Parkway and Natchez Trace) and I try to take as many headstone photos as possible.
Few of Find A Grave rules, I have found helpful:
1) Transfer requests will be for direct relatives within four generations. This would be your siblings, parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
2) How do I enter all married names for a woman's memorial when she was married more than once?
The 'last name' is the name that is on the headstone. Include other married names as part of the biography section. The 'maiden name' is only for her maiden name.
3) Photos: ONLY post photos for which YOU hold the copyright.
