His father was listed as WILLIAM EUBANKS and his mother was CHAIRTY DILLARD, both born in SC. No informant was listed and burial was in the Motlow Creek Baptist Church Cemetery on Sep. 6, 1949. Tolly W Petty was the undertaker.

Campobello - JOHN J. EUBANKS, 83, retired farmer, died at 2:40 a.m. Monday at his home, Campobello Route 2, after an illness of 4 weeks. His death followed closely on that of his wife, Mrs. GERTRUDE EUBANKS, who died July 28. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 3 p.m. at Motlow Creek Baptist Church, of which Mr. EUBANKS was a member. The Rev. HARTZOG BEARD, the Rev. ED TAYLOR, the Rev. Mr. DONALD, and the Rev. FAY LANFORD will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be: BILLY, CHARLES and J. B. VAN PATTON, HAROLD GUYNELL and ELBERT SMITH and E. W. EUBANKS, Jr. Surviving are 3 daughters, Mrs. T. M. SMITH of Campobello, Mrs. GLADYS VAN PATTON of Inman and Mrs. MOZELLE BRIDWELL of Campobello; 3 sons, P. M. of Pauline and E. W. and PAUL EUBANKS of Spartanburg; a brother, IKE EUBANKS of Landrum Route 2; and a sister, Mrs. HATTIE LANFORD of Inman. Honorary pallbearers will be: BEN COOLEY, TANDY SMITH, PINK AYERS, BROOKS DOBBINS, BEN and NELSON LOFTIS, LAWRENCE RAINEY and Mr. FULBRIGHT. The body is at the home. The Petty Funeral Home of Landrum is in charge of arrangements.
