DEATH OF A BABY
(Special to The Herald)
Campobello, Route No. 2, June 4-On Tuesday morning about 2 o'clock the death angel entered the home of Mr. & Mrs. J. J. Eubanks and took from their midst Barney, their little 18 months old son. Little Barney took Cholera infantum Friday. Everything that the hands of loving friends, also of Dr. George Thompson, could do to save the life of this precious little one was done, but all to no purpose, as the Heavenly Father had sent the death angel to bring this flower of His home to Him. He was too bright to stay in this world, and God took him to rest. The little one suffered untold agony from the time he became ill until death relieved him. The burial services were held at Motlow's Creek Wednesday morning at 11 o'clock, conducted by Rev. A.T. Jones, after which the little body was laid to rest in the cemetery.
A host of sorrowing friends and relatives attended the funeral services. Many and beautiful were the floral tributes as the grave was completely covered.
Our people can certainly be praised for kindness to the sick, for every one was just as kind to Mr. & Mrs. Eubanks as could be and they express their heartfelt thanks to their friends for the kindness shown them and their family in this their great bereavement.
The family have the deepsympathy of numerous friends in this trouble, although they should realize that their little one is now a bright, shining angel and in a better home than theirs.
