Landrum - Mrs. DAISY EUBANKS ATKINS, 56, widow of SAMUEL DAVID ATKINS, Sr., died this morning at her residence after having been in declining health several months. Mrs. ATKINS was born and reared in Spartnburg County, and was a member of Motlow Creek Baptist Church. Survivors include nine sons, WILLIAM GETTEYS, OREL GUY, MASSEY CAPPS, ELBERT CONSTANTINE, CEALUS ORLANDO, SAMUEL DAVID, Jr., BLAKE RAY, and JAMES HAYDEN ATKINS of Campobello, LADONE PESKO ATKINS, Sr., of Greer; three daughters, Mrs. JAMES QUAIN BRUCE, Mrs. RANDALL EDWARD THORNE and Miss MARY BETH ATKINS of Campobello; four brothers; JOHN WALTER and J. T. EUBANKS of Campobello and JONES EUBANKS of Spartanburg; one sister, Mrs. HATTIE LANDFORD of Campobello. The funeral will be conducted Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at the Motlow Creek Baptist Church, with the Revs. W. A. LAUDERMILKE, PAUL MAYBERRY and B. P. HALL officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Active Pallbearers will be CLAUDE FISHER, JOE FOWLER, FRED ATKINS, HUGH LANDFORD, DEAN EUBANKS and CHOICE EUBANKS. Deacons of the Motlow Creek Baptist Church and the following have been asked to assemble at the church at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday and serve as honorary pallbearers; J. H. MILLS, BOYD MILLS, INA FOWLER, PRESTON WOOTON, JOHN FISHER and CHARLES L. MAYBRY. The body is at the residence, TOLLY W. PETTY, funeral director at Landrum, is in charge of arrangements.
