She was the 1st wife of JACKSON STAGGS, she was the daughter of WILLIAM JETER, Sr. and CHAIRTY DILLARD EUBANKS, both buried in the Motlow Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

Her Spartanburg Co., SC Death Certificate #12078, dated June 14, 1918, states her name was MAGGIE LEE STAGGS, a married white female, born 1875 in SC. She was a housewife and was 43 years of age at her death from Pellagra. Her father was WILLIAM EUBANKS and her mother was CHARITY EUBANKS both born in SC. Informant was listed as H. JACKSON STAGGS of Near Chesnee, SC. Doctor was listed as G. A. KNIGHT and place of burial was listed as Motlow Creek Baptist Church Cemetery on June 16, 1918.

(Special to The Hearld) Campobello Route 2 - Mrs. H. J. Staggs died Friday night at the Pellagra Hospital at Spartanburg and was buried in Motlow Church Sunday morning. Mrs. Staggs had been sick for several months. She leaves a husband and nine children to mourn her loss, also four brother and two sisters as follows: Mrs. Hattie Lanford and Mrs Daisy Atkins: J. J., R. W., and I. T. and M. J. Eubanks. Mrs. Staggs former home was at this p;ace, but had been living near Fingerville.
