Arindo grew up on his father's farm in Anson County, NC. He married Mary Lillie McLemore (1883-1966) around 1903. They were living in Porstmouth, Virginia by 1910, and lived their until their deaths. While I am not certain, I don't believe they had any children.
I am greatly indebted to my cousin, James R. Beacham, of Portsmouth, VA, for finding the following obituary for Uncle Arindo, published on the day he died:
"Arindo W. Beacham, 84, died today at 7:45 A.M. in a Suffolk nursing home. He was the husband of Mrs. Lillie M. McLemore Beacham and was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Beacham. He was a native of Anson County N.C. and had lived in Portsmouth most of his life residing at 429 Broad Street. Mr. Beacham was a member of Cottage Place Methodist Church, Tidal Wave Lodge N0. 273 A.F. and A.M. , Port Norfolk Royal Arch Chaper No. 36. In addition to his wife, he is survived by nieces and nephews. The body was taken by Snelling Funeral Home where a funeral service will be conducted Thursday at 2. P.M. Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery."
Many thanks to Steve Poole for creating this memorial and then kindly transferring it to me, and for the tombstone photo.
