Louisa Clementine Beachum was the fourth daughter and sixth of fourteen children born to Jeremiah Washington Beachum (1830-1910) and his first wife Mary Jane Taylor (1836-1882). Her paternal grandparents were Hugh A. Beachum and his wife Zillah O'Neal, and her maternal grandparents were William W. Taylor and his wife Sarah McLendon, all of Anson County, North Carolina

Louisa married Miles Washington Caudle (1863-1930) on 28 December 11887. He was a son of Alfred Caudle & Matilda Little Holmes.

Their children were: Wilburn Clayton Caudle (9 Sept. 1888-3 Aug. 1940) Rheumilas (Romulous?) Free Caudle (10 Apr. 1890-9 June 1935), Kizzie Myra Caudle (6 Feb. 1892-7 Oct. 1983, Mrs. Robert Ray Carpenter), Jeffrey Alfred "A. J." Caudle (11 Dec. 1894-22 Dec. 1967), Joseph William Caudle (31 July 1897-11 Nov. 1974), Infant Caudle (5 Oct. 1899), Ella D. Caudle (10 July 1901-6 March 1902), Infant Caudle (3 May 1903), Lenora "Sister" Caudle (3 March 1904-14 May 1914).
