Mrs. Chandler went to heaven Jan. 28, 2007. She died at a Jacksonville nursing home. She was born Oct. 21, 1917, in Turney.
She was a retired LVN with 25 years of service at Nan Travis Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville. She was a member of Craft Baptist Church and was the oldest living member.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Eldon Chandler; son, Sammy Wayne Chandler; and great-granddaughter, Marah Shea Goodson.
Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Neli Chandler of Jacksonville; daughters, Molly Morris of Jacksonville and Sally Breedlove of Ramseur, N.C.; daughter-in-law, Earlene Chandler of Gallatin; 17 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., today at the funeral home.
