Funeral services for Rachel Meador, age 93, of Jacksonville, are scheduled for 10:00 am Saturday, August 29, 2009 at Autry Funeral Home Chapel, Jacksonville with Rev. Leon Ross, Rev. James Blaylock and Rev. Danny Holifield officiating.

Burial will follow at Meador Cemetery.

Mrs. Meador passed away Sunday, August 23, 2009 in Jacksonville.

She was born April 23, 1916 in Turney, TX to Benjamin W. Baker and Fannie Neville Baker.

She was a member of Craft Baptist Church and was a homemaker.

Survivors include son Travis Meador and wife Allene of Jacksonville; daughters Ruth Ann Corbell and husband Henry of Jacksonville, Mary Lynn White and husband Jerry of Fairfield, Judy Holifield of Carrollton, Vicki Meador of Tyler; sister Pearl Henderson of Bly, OR; sister-in-law Evie "Pete" Baker of Reklaw; eleven grandchildren Pam and Rusty Sharp, Patty Burk, Hank and Shauna Corbell, Kim McDuff, Tresa and Jay Jones, Jeff and Nicole White, Bradley White, Dan and Amber Holifield, Keri Holifield, Rae-Ann Phillips and Catherine Phillips; seventeen great-grandchildren Alex, Grace and Rachel Sharp, Patrick Burk, Andrea and Savannah Corbell, Jo Ann Meeks, Devon Anderson, Jason and Meghan Beasley, John Travis Beasley, Brandi DeMarco, Trent O'Neal, Kyler and Reagan Whatley and Rileigh, Jake and Reese White; two great-great-grandchildren Dylan Ferrell and Rylan Clakley; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Gone but Not Forgotten – parents, Benjamin W. Baker and Fannie Neville Baker, Joe Allen Meador, spouse, died January 2, 1985 at age 69, Sherry Meeks, granddaughter, died April 24, 2002 at age 37, Jimmy Beasley, grandson, died July 27, 2007 at age 49.

Pallbearers will be grandsons.
