Judy Kay Meador Holifield entered eternal rest on October 27, 2009. Judy was born in Jacksonville, Texas, on July 2, 1951. She spent her childhood in Jacksonville and later graduated with the 1969 Class of Jacksonville High School. From there she attended Jacksonville Baptist College before moving to Dallas to start her family. Judy was a sweet-spirited, Christian woman and a devoted, loving mother to her two children Keri and Dan.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Joe Allen Meador and Rachel Baker Meador,(died August 23, 2009) and by her brother-in-law, Henry Corbell.

She is survived by her children, Keri Lynn Holifield of Carrollton, Texas, Dan C. Holifield, Jr. and wife Amber, of McKinney, Texas, and her beloved dog Kallie. She is also survived by her brother Travis Meador and wife Allene, of Jacksonville, Texas, and sisters Ruth Ann Corbell, of Jacksonville, Texas, Mary Lynn White and husband Jerry, of Fairfield, Texas, and Vicki Meador, of Tyler, Texas.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, November 1, 2009, at Autry Funeral Home chapel in Jacksonville with Rev. Leon Ross officiating. A graveside service will be held at Meador Cemetery after the chapel service. A family visitation will be held from 4:00 until 6:00 PM on Saturday, October 31, 2009 at the Autry Funeral Home in Jacksonville.
