Married: Clifford Clarence Hayman 17 December 1929. First Methodist Church, Oroville, Butte County, California. Ended with his death 24 May 1932.
No children.
Married: William Donovan Murray June 12, 1934. Three children all living.
She lost her mother four months after her birth. According to her memoir and family her father - who had other things to do - put her in the care of a foster family who grossly neglected her and she began to waste away. Her older married sisters, Jennie particularly, became aware of the situation, rescued her and brought her to Sebastopol to be raised by her maiden aunt Anna Boyer among other aunts, uncles and cousins of the extended family. She finished high school in Colusa, California.
Marian wrote a very moving memoir about her family, growing up with Aunt Anna and the special relationship with family and place in Sebastopol.
