The funeral will be at 11 am Friday in Carolina Memorial Funeral Home. Entombment will be in Carolina Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Fickling was born in Charleston, a son of Charles B. Fickling and Mary L. Emerson Fickling. He was a member of Yeamans Park Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are his wife, Hattie O'Quinn Walsh Fickling; a daughter, Delores Baker of Defiance, Ohio; a son, Charles H Fickling of North Charleston; two stepsons, Dwight S. Walsh of Hanahan and Richard P. Walsh of Isle of Palms; four sisters, Earline Griffin of Mount Pleasant, Mary Owens of Summerville, and Vera Dammie and Rosa Lee Vashoun, both of North Charleston; several grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
