ELIJAH THOMAS CLAPP, JR., b.1866, (Greenbush) Scituate, MA, a son of ELIJAH THOMAS CLAPP and ANN ROSINI (CLAPP) of (Greenbush) Scituate, MA (they were fourth cousins), and husband of OLIVE JANE (JENKINS), b.1878, Scituate, MA, d.1970, Scituate, MA, a daughter of GEORGE JENKINS and JOANNA (ANDREWS) of Scituate, MA. During his early life he assisted his father and grandfather with their businesses in Greenbush, and until after a few years after his marriage to Olive in 1928. They resided in Scituate, MA where their children were born. During that time Elijah commuted to Boston where he was employed in the clothing and hat business, and later employed with the Town of Scituate. Olive died in 1970 (FAG#260288917) and is buried with members of the Jenkins family at Fairview Cemetery in Scituate.
Young Elijah is pictured here with his father, Elijah, and grandfather, Elijah, known locally as "The Three Elijah's", as all three generations were living at the time between the late 1860s to the late 1880s, working the mills across from Greenbush Pond in Scituate, MA.
