Sarah's mother, also named Sarah Ann, nicknamed "Sally" died after the birth of her son, Nathan Grover Frazee on August 28, 1888 in Greenup County, Kentucky. Sarah's father, Lewis Virgil Frazee married at second time to Fannie Levina Cooper (1866 – 1925) and they were the parents of six children.

Sometime around 1900, Milton, Sarah and their family moved to Michigan. The 1910 Federal Census lists them living in Dover Township, Otsego County, Michigan.
Sarah, age 54, died of "chronic myocarditis" at Flint, Genesee County, Michigan and was buried at the Gracelawn Cemetery.
