ROSELLA FRAZEE WOOTEN was the daughter of Lewis Virgil and Sarah Ann Smith Frazee of Greenup County, Kentucky.

Rosella was married to Clarence Wooten on July 2, 1903, in Greenup County, Kentucky. They were the parents of six known children- Arthur Wooten who married Ruby Elam, Carl L. Wooten, his occupation listed as clergy, Gladys Wooten, Sherman I. Wooten of Columbus, Ohio, Findley Glenn Wooten, a veteran of WWII and Arlene Wooten.

Rosella, age 75 and widowed, died at her home in Columbus, Ohio, she was buried at Memorial Burial Park at Wheelersburg, Scioto County, Ohio.

MRS. ROSELLA WOOTEN (1885-1960)

Funeral services are to be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday for Mrs. Rosella Wooten, 74, a former Portsmouth resident who died Tuesday morning at her home in Columbus.

Born on January 2, 1886 (1885), in Greenup County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Lewis and Sarah Smith Frazee.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Clarence Wooten and two sons.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Gladys Compton of Lucasville and Mrs. Arlene Meddles of Columbus, three sons, Sherman and Glenn Wooten of Columbus, and Rev. Carl Wooten of Athens, a brother, Nathan Frazee of Allentown, Wheelersburg, Rt. 3, three half-brothers, Virgil Frazee of Huntington, West Virginia, George Frazee of Lorain, Ohio and John Frazee of Kehoe, Greenup County, Kentucky, a half-sister, Mrs. Olive Rose of Kankakee, Illinois, formerly of Portsmouth.

Services are to be conducted at New Boston Church of the Nazarene with Rev. E.K. Richey officiating. Burial is to be in Memorial Burial Park under the direction of Gosnell Funeral Home, Columbus.
