Ruth Wadelee Burnside Grider, 84 of Danville, died Sunday March 1, 2015. Born October 5, 1930 in Garrard County, she was the daughter of the late Charles Arthur and Isabelle Mayberry Lane Burnside. Ruth was a 1949 graduate of Junction City High School. She loved to sew and at one time owned Ruth's Fabric Store and worked for Genesco. Ruth also owned East 80 Furniture Store in Russell Springs for five years. She operated Grider Furniture with her late husband, K.G. "George" Grider and was an avid UK Basketball fan. Ruth loved to cook, craft, knit, crochet, and canning. She also was a great horse show mom and 4-H Leader when her children were growing up. In addition to her husband, Ruth was predeceased by five brothers, J.R. (Grace) Burnside, Ralph Burnside, Clyde (Minnie) Burnside, Joe Burnside, and Earl Burnside, and one sister, Dorothy Helen Burnside.She is survived by a daughter, Becci (Kent) Loomer of Harrodsburg, a son, Lewis (Renee) Grider of Junction City, a brother, Charles (Marilyn) Burnside of Troy, a sister Drucilla Highland of Ft Worth, Tx., three sisters-in-law, Ethel Burnside of Danville, Betty Burnside White, of Oklahoma, and Gladys Burnside of Stanford, three grandchildren, Knacey Grace Loomer, Joanah Baylee Loomer, and Kalem (Jessica) Grasham and three great-grandchildren, Cheyenne, Jake and Kassidy Grasham and many nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Randy Grider, Rob Grider, Kalem Grasham, Darrell Rice, Steve Martin, and Brad Logan. Honorary pallbearers will be Chip McGinnis, Pete Owens, Kevin Wilkerson, and Kevin Cox. Memorial donations are suggested to Central Kentucky Equine Human Center, 1713 Catnip Hill Rd. Nicholasville, Ky. 40356.
