Ralph E. Christensen, 63, Gillett passed away on Tuesday afternoon, Aug. 31 at Appleton Medical Center following a brief illness.
Born July 29, 1947 in the Town of Maple Valley to the late Clarence and Savalia (Moede) Christensen, he married Leone Erb on Feb. 1, 1974 in the Town of Gillett.
He was employed by Dimension Lumber Company, Suring until his retirement due to health issues. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Hintz. He liked to tinker in his garage repairing small engines for himself and others. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and pets and watching Brett Favre no matter what team he played for.
His wife of 36 years, Leone survives, along with a son, Gregg (Heather) of De Pere; two daughters, Lisa Christensen of Suamico and Beth Christensen of Ashwaubenon; four grandchildren; his siblings, Marlene (Richard) Olson and Dennis, both of Suring, Nancy (Leonard) Berge of Neenah and Richard (Ruth) of Gillett; a brother-in-law, John Dinse of King; his wife's family, Pinky Erb of Suring, William (Doris) Erb of Sheboygan Falls, Marj (August) Vorpahl of Shawano, Victoria (Wallace) Fifield of Oconto Falls, Tom Erb of Cecil and Bruce Erb of Gillett; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death were a sister, Patsy Dinse; a brother-in-law, Ervin Erb and a sister-in-law, Marilynn Erb.
Friends called from noon until 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 4 at Christ Lutheran Church, Hintz. A memorial service followed at 2 p.m. officiated by Deacon Michael Zamzow. Inurnment was in the church cemetery. Kuehl Funeral Home, Gillett assisted the family with arrangements
