STOLEN MEAT AND POTATOES
Someone dug under the sills of the smokehouse belonging to Mr. Cicero Beacham on Monday night and stole a large quantity of his meat — all that was in the house — and then went out into the lot and dug a large quantity of fresh sweet potatoes. This is the boldest robbery of this kind reported here in some time. Mr. Beacham and the officers are trying to track the thief but have not yet been successful.
