LaPORTE - Jesse M. Freese, 91, LaPorte, died at 12:31 p.m. Tuesday (May 7, 2002) at LaPorte Hospital. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Haverstock Funeral Home. Burial will be in Springville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. until the service Friday. He was born June 14, 1910, in Knox, Ind., to Lawrence and Martha (Hay) Freese. On Jan. 8, 1938, in LaPorte, he married Mary E. Wiltfong, who survives. Survivors also include four daughters, Denise Euler, Donna Hall, Debbie Lain, and Darlene Wawok, all of LaPorte; one son, Jesse Freese Jr., LaPorte; 17 grandchildren; and 33 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, three sons, six sisters, and five brothers. Mr. Freese was an inspector for Modine Manufacturing. He retired in 1975 after 40 years of service.
