James Bates officiating. Burial will follow in the Eagle Creek cemetery, Knox. Friends may call at the funeral home from now until the time of the funeral. Mr. Freese was born Jan. 13, 1890 in Marshall County to Lawrence and Martha (Hay) Freese and had lived in LaPorte for 55 years, going to Portage four months ago. He was married in 1917 in LaPorte to Louise Vardaman. He was a member of the Apostolic Faith Tabernacle. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Melvina Hill, Lamacy, Calif., and Mrs. Loretta Jones, Portage; five grandchildren and a great grandson; five brothers, Muriel, Clyde, Jesse, Curtis, and Clifford Freese all of LaPorte; four sisters Mrs. Lorraine Thomas and Mrs. Esther Dixon, Grand Rapids Mich., Mrs. Irene Kohlman, Michigan City; Mrs. Bernice Logos, LaPorte.
