MILAN, N.H. - Mrs. Nina McCarty, 86, widow of Herbert McCarty, of Mountain Ave., Fairfield, Maine, died Wednesday evening, in a Waterville Hospital, following a long illness. She was born in West Milan, teh daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Foxx Hodgdon, attending teh local school, graduating as an R.N. from Margaret Pillsbury Hospital in Concord. She had served as night supervisor at Children's hospital in Boston, Mass., and was active in district nursing in Berlin. She worked for Brown Paper Co., in the first aid office in Berlin. She was active in the local organizations and the benefit of West Milan-Milan area. She retired after 10 years in nursing services at the Central Maine Sanitarium. She was also a graduate of teh Famous Artist Course in Westport, Conn. Surviving are a son, Winston McCarty, Rochester; a daughter, Mrs. Penelope Maheu, Fairfield, Maine; a brother, william Hodgdon, Nontville, Maine; a sister, Mrs. Sally Shores, Granby, Vt.; six grandsons; six great-grandsons. Private funeral services were held Saturday morning in Fiarifield, Maine. Burial in teh Village Cemetery in West Milan in teh spring.

FUNERAL OF NINA MCCARTY
FAIRFIELD - Funeral services for Mrs. Nina McCarty were held Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. at the Lawry Bros. Funeral Home with the Rev. John Dunn officiating. The honorary bearers were Bruce McCarty, Robert and Peter Maheu, Norman, Raymond and John McCarty. Spring burial will be in the Village Cemetery in West Milan, N.H.
