Daughter of William Isaac & Phoebe Jane Van Horn Murphy and spouse of Fred Beach

BERTHA BEACH, 94 Bertha Bernice Beach, 94, of Zanesville, died at 12:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 10, 1995, at Bethesda Hospital. Mrs. Beach lived in Zanesville for the past 65 years. Surviving are two daughters, Bernadine Wiley of Zanesville and Barbara Brock of Painesville; two sons, Deane Beach of Zanesville and Eugene Beach of Oklahoma; 18 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and a sister, Rose Barnhart of Malta. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Phoebe Van Horn Murphy; her husband, Fred Beach; a daughter, Jane Coulter; five brothers and two sisters. Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 13, 1995, at William Thompson and Son Funeral Home, 5765 Gladstone Drive, White Cottage. Services are 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct 14, 1995, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Memorial Park. (October 11, 1995, Zanesville Times Recorder).
