Victor M. Burns Dead

Victor M. Burns, 927 Whildin St., a retired civil engineer, died this morning in his home.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Roberts-Blue-Barnett Chapel, conducted by Dr. William A. Hubbard, pastor of the First Methodist Church. Masonic graveside services will be conducted in Memorial Lawn Cemetery.

The son of John and Evelyn Howard Burns, Victor M. Burns was born March 30th, 1908, in Colwich. He was married to Edna Sowerby Feb. 24th, 1929, in Emporia. His memberships included the First Methodist Church and the Emporia Masonic Lodge 12, A. F. & A. M. He is survived by his wife, of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Larry Thompson, Columbia, Mo., and Mrs. Greg Pierce, Wichita; one brother, Virgil, Hutchinson; two sisters, Mrs. Arthur Millington, El Paso, Tex., and Mrs. George Rudy, Phoenix, Ariz.; one half-brother, Harry Elliott, of Arizona, and two granddaughters.
