She married Charles D. Resler and they had one son, Allen. She died at the age of 35.

Well-Known Business Man, Former Postmaster in Poor Health For Years.
Charles D. Resler, 81, well-known Cisne merchant and former postmaster, died at Clay County Hospital in Flora Thursday night following an illness of many months.
Mr. Resler had actually been in poor health for the past eight or nine years and had been in semi-retirement for some time.
Took Up Teaching
He was first a teacher for several years in Wayne county schools before leaving the teaching profession in 1908 to become associated with George Kast in operation of a hardware and implement business at Cisne. Later he served as Cisne postmaster and still later was chief clerk at the Alton state hospital for several years. Mr. Resler had not been active since returning from his Alton job.
Funeral services were held from the Cisne Methodist church Sunday afternoon, with Rev. C.B. Johnston officiating. Interment was in Scott cemetery. Crippen Funeral Home was in charge.
Charles David Resler, son of John N. and Lucy Scott Resler, was born near Mr. Erie September 12th, 1875. He grew to manhood in the vicinity of his birth. He attended the common schools of Wayne county and Hayward college at Fairfield, before taking up his teaching career. He was converted to Christ under the ministry of Rev. William Huntsberry and united with the Cisne Methodist church, where he held his membership until his death.
Married in 1899
Mr. Resler was married to Lydia Allen in 1899 and one son was born to this union. The Reslers also took an orphan nephew, Richard, into their home when the boy was but five years old. Richard later died on November 12th, 1924. Mr. Resler's wife passed away December 30th, 1913.
He was married to May Brown on May 20th, 1916, and no children were born to this union.

Surviving are his widow; one son, Allen, of Chicago; a grandson, 1st Lt. Charles W. Resler, now in the U. S. armed forces in Japan; a granddaughter, Jean, wife of S.S. Gee, of Hazelcrest, and eight great-grandchildren.
