William Thomas Allen was born in Albion, IL, and married Verna May Wheeler on May 3, 1900. They had two sons, Charles Ronald Allen born in 1901 and Elmer Allen in 1902. He went to California and died there in 1906.
From the Wayne County Record, 15 Nov 1906:
"Word was received in this city last week, that William Allen, formerly of this city, and later agent at Mill Shoals, had died in California. His whereabouts had not been known for some years, unless possibly to some members of the family. The telegram announcing his death asked for instructions as to what to do with the body, and after consultation, it was decided to instruct to bury at the place of death."
