STERNER – On June 11, 1949, at 4:15 a.m., at his home, Glen Rock RD, Harry Edwin Sterner, husband of Mrs. Treva Meckley Sterner, aged 53 years, 9 months, 5 days.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services Tuesday, June 14, at 2 p.m. from the H. C. Geiple and Son Funeral Home, Glen Rock. Interment in Stone Church Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home this evening from 7 to 9 o'clock.

Harry E. Sterner, Merchant, Dies At Glen Rock RD Home

Glen Rock – Harry Edwin Sterner, 53, local grocer and fuel oil distributor for the past 20 years, died at 4:15 a.m. Saturday at his home, Glen Rock RD. He was in impaired health for the past year.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Treva Meckley Sterner; three daughters, Mrs. Preston Henry, Railroad; Mrs. Donald Small, Hanover, and Helen Sterner, at home; two sons, Harry M. Sterner, Glen Rock RD, and Jacob M. Sterner, at home; one grandson; one brother, Clarence Sterner, York RD 8, and five sisters, Mrs. Fred Grothey, Glen Rock; Mrs. Rosie Gruver, Lewisberry; Mrs. Katie McCleary, Glen Rock RD; Mrs. William Pascoe, McSherrystown, and Mrs. Minnie Harbold, York.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. from the H. C. Geiple and Son Funeral Home, this place. Rev. Dr. Kenneth S. Ehrhart, pastor of Jefferson Lutheran charge, will officiate, assisted by Rev. M. E. Smith, pastor of New Freedom Lutheran charge. Interment will be in Stone Church Cemetery.
