Goldie was born in Hanover Junction, on October 14, 1916, to the late Treva (Meckley) Sterner and the late Harry Sterner. Goldie worked in various sewing factories in the Southern York County area prior to retiring to be a stay-at-home mom and raise her granddaughter, Donna. She was also very involved in raising her two cherished great-granddaughters, Maria and Heather. She was a member of Railroad Lutheran Church and had been a member of the Women's Sunday School class.
Goldie is survived by a granddaughter, Donna Wallen and her partner, Jeanne Brewer of Landisville; greatgranddaughters, Maria Shelton and her fianc, Greg Koller of York and Heather Mitchell and her husband, Jason of New Freedom; great-great-grandchildren, Corbin and Brezlyn Koller, and expected baby, Mitchell; sisters, Hattie Small and Helen Watson of Glen Rock; brothers Harry 'Jim' Sterner of Glen Rock and Jacob Sterner and his wife, Marian of Seven Valleys; and sisters-in-law, Mary Rehmeyer of Dover and Irene Henry of Shrewsbury. She was predeceased by a son, Donald N. Henry; and a brother, Woodrow Sterner.
Interment in New Freedom Cemetery.
