Helen M. (Sterner) Watson, 85, died Saturday, December 12, 2015, at her home.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at St. Jacob's (Stone) Church Cemetery, 5152 Stone Church Road, Glenville, with the Rev. Peter O. Ogilvie, chaplain for SpiriTrust Lutheran, officiating. There will be no viewing. The Geiple Funeral Home, Inc., 53 Main St., Glen Rock, is in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Watson was born November 12, 1930, in Codorus Township and was a daughter of the late Harry E. and Treva (Meckley) Sterner.
She retired from AMP, Inc. and prior to that had worked for the Southern York County School District as a cafeteria employee. She had also owned the former Gene and Helen's Tavern in the Larue area of Codorus Township for many years.
She leaves a daughter, Kathy A. Watson of Glen Rock; a son, Richard E. Watson, Jr. of Seven Valleys; a granddaughter, Nicole Hunnings; and two great-grandsons, Tate and Sawyer; a sister, Hattie M. Small of Glen Rock; and a brother, Jacob M. Sterner of Seven Valleys.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice .
