KNOXVILLE ---- Bertie Roberts Wilkey, 85, 6000 Morning Glory Place, Knoxville, formerly of 1656 Redwood Drive, Kingsport, died at 9:10 p.m. Thursday (Feb. 20, 1992) at Ft. sanders Regional Medical Center, Knoxville.
Born in Scott County, Va., she moved to Kingsport at a young age. She was employed by Borden Mills Plant of Kingsport as a weaver.
She was of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William N. Wilkey.
Surviving are her stepdaughter, Mrs. Richard (Shirley) Pierce, Knoxville; three stepgrandchildren; two step great grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. George (Audrey) Marcum, Kingsport and Mrs. Edna Crumley, Nashville; one brother, Lloyd Roberts, Kingsport; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours are from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Carter-Trent Funeral Home.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. John Parrott Sr. officiating.
Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
