Mrs. Emma DeVault Tice, 85, widow of George Tice and a resident of 609 Crawford street, Martins Ferry, died Tuesday evening in Martins Ferry hospital. Friends are being received at the Howard H Wilson funeral chapel, Bridgeport, where services will be held Friday at 1 pm. The Rev Dan Mayer will officiate and interment will follow in Linwood cemetery at Blaine.
She was born in Farmington, O, Nov 24, 1867, but was a resident of Martins Ferry most of her life. She was a member of the Christian church and of Mother McKinley circle, Ladies of the GAR.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Charles Trainer of East Liverpool, four sons, Clyde, Elbert and Charles, all of Martins Ferry, and Ralph of Bridgeport; a sister, Mrs. Forrest Martin of Massillon, O; three brothers: Charles DeVault of Maynard, O; James DeVault of Farmington, O; and Clyde DeVault of Colerain, O; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Mother McKinley circle, Ladies of the GAR, will hold services at the funeral home Thursday evening at 8 o'clock.
