Mrs. Essie M Martin, 95, a former resident of Uhrichsville, died Monday in Lodge Nursing Home at Navarre where she had resided nine years. Born in Farmington, she moved to Massillon from Uhrichsville in 1951.
She was a member of Massillon First United Church, Senior Citizens and McKinley Chapter Daughters of Union Veterans.
Her husband, Forrest, died in 1956. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Carl (Helen) Burrows of Massillon with whom she resided before going to the nursing home; a grandchiled and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be Thursday at 1 pm in Gordon-Shaidnagle-Hollinger Funeral Home in Massillon where friends may call Wednesday from 7 to 9. Interment will be in Evergreen Burial Park at New Philadelphia.
