Deceased was born in Clayton County, IA, on August 15, 1869, and was in his 54th year. His parents came to Waseca county when he was 18 months old and located in Woodville township, which has since been the home of the deceased. On July 6, 1894, he was married to Miss Louisa Fette of Meriden, who passed away in 1918. On April 28, 1921, he married Miss Minnie E. Cordes of Meriden,who survives him,together with three children by his first marriage, Mrs. Hilda Priebe of Otisco, Edwin and Albert at home. He also leaves his aged mother, one grandchild, two brothers, William,of Woodville and John of Waseca; three sisters, Mrs. Catherine Abbe, of Meriden, Mrs. Mary Lawin of Waseca, Mrs. Anna Sommers of Woodville.
Sturdy, honest and dependable, Mr. Buker did his full share toward the improvement and upbuilding of his community and enjoyed the confidence and esteem of all who knew him. He took an active interest in public affairs and was for years a member of the school board of his district. The sympathy of the community goes out to the family in this great loss they have sustained.
The funeral took place from St. John's Lutheran church in the city Monday afternoon. The services were conducted by Rev. Duerschner, after which the remains were laid to rest in Woodville cemetery.
