Henry was born in Germany 79 years ago and came to America when a young man. He settled first in St. Louis and then moved to Clayton County, Iowa, where he married Caroline Menke. In 1871 they moved to this county and settled on a farm in Woodville which was their home until a year ago when they moved to this city and had since resided with their son, John, on West Wood Street. They recently bought the Lydia Isker residence on Lake Avenue and were preparing to reside there.

Deceased is survived by his widow and six children, William and Henry Buker of Woodville; John of this city; Mrs. Louis Abbe of Meriden; Mrs. J. P. Sommers of Woodville, and Mrs. Fred Lawin of this city. He was an honest hard working man who accumulated a fair share of this world's goods. The sincere sympathy of the community is extended to the sorrowing widow and children in their bereavement.
