Funeral Services Held Monday for Nels A. Wierson

Funeral services were held here last Monday afternoon for Nels A. Wierson , who died December 16th after an illness that hospitalized him since November 29th.

Mr. Nels A, Wierson, son of Olaus and Tilla Wierson, was born May 7, 1888 at Radcliffe, Iowa and passed away December 16th, 1960 at the age of 72 years, 7 months and 9 days. He was taken to the hospital November 29th and remained there until his death.

He was baptized and onfirmed in the Lutheran Faith at the Bergen Lutheran Church at Roland, Iowa.

On February 12, 1913, he was united in marriage to Martha Benson. To this union three children were born: Norris Wierson, Maxwell, Iowa; Sylvia, Mrs Amil Twedt, of Nevada, Iowa; and Own, who preceded him in death in 1933 at the age of 9 years. He also leaves 6 grandchildren, three brothers, three sisters and a host of other relatives and friends. His parents, one brother and one sister preceded him in death, also.

He was engaged in farming his entire life. In 1947, thy retired and moved to Radcliffe, where they were living at the time of his death.
