Well Known Farmer Answers Final Summons Following Illness of Many Months Duration

Funeral services were held at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church here last Sunday afternoon for Henry Wierson, well known farmer, who passed away last Thursday at the Eldora Hospital following a long illness. He was 52 years, 8 months, and 21 days old at the time of his passing.

Henry Wierson, son of Severt and Tilla Wierson, was born May 31, 1892 at Radcliffe. He was baptized at Roland on August 14, 1892 by Reverend Jacobson, and was confirmed by Pastor Smedal at the Bergen Church at Roland on October 14, 1906. He grew to manhood on the farm with his parents southwest of Radcliffe.

On March 18, 1914, he was united in marriage to Isabelle Friest. To this union four children were born. One son, Orvie Tilden, preceded him in death, being killed in the service of our country in the Italian Theater of war. Those who are left to mourn the departure of a loving husband and father, are his wife and children. The children are Mrs. Betty Guy, Mrs. Alma Hodnefield and Alfred Wierson, all of Radcliffe. He is also survived by his mother, Mrs. S.O. Wierson of Roland, and three sisters, and four brothers, Mrs. Nettie Barka, Litchfield, Minn., Mrs. Alma Osmundson of Webster City; Silas, Roland, Mrs. Tena Lee, Willie, Nels, and Eamel, all of Radcliffe. One sister Ella Gurine, and his father preceded him in death.

After his marriage, Mr. Wierson engaged in farming until about two years ago, when he was taken ill and became bedfast. He was taken to the hospital at different times for treatments, and passed away on the abouve mentioned date.

Rev. P.L. More had charge of the funeral services, assisted by Rev. Naglestad of Ellsworth. Special music at church service included two solos by Mrs. Lindebak and a duet by Mr. And Mrs. Cammack. Burial was in the Radcliffe Cemetery.

Pallbears were his four brothers, Willie, Nels, Silas and Eamel Wierson, and two brother-in-laws, Theodore Tobiason and Walter Anderson.
