Mr. Marlow was born Monday, August 14, 1916, in Jefferson county to William Lincoln and Victoria Ellen (Hunt) Marlow. He married Thelma Lucille (Webb) Marlow Aug. 29, 1936, in Mt. Vernon, Ind.; she preceded in death April 6, 1998.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday at Otterbein United Methodist Church in Bluford. The Rev. William Deuel will officiate. Interment will follow in Oakdale Cemetery in Jefferson County.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Otterbein United Methodist Church in Bluford and from 9 to 10 a.m. Tuesday, also at the church.
Mr. Marlow is survived by five sons, Donald E. "Don" Marlow and wife Ladonna of Texico, Stanley Allen Marlow and wife Charlotte of Indianapolis, Ind., Philip Anthony Marlow of Mt. Vernon, Randall David Marlow oadn wife Yvette of Mt. Vernon and Daniel Wayne Marlow of Mt. Vernon; three daughters Nancy Ellen Riley and husband Bud of Bluford, Peggy Louise Young and husband Ralph of Bluford and Patricia Mabel "Patty" Ramsay and husband Rod of Holly Springs, Ark.; 18 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; a son, Steven Michael Marlow; five sisters Maudie M. Marlow, Herma Cordelia Marlow, Lulu Mabel Marlow, Cecile Anna Marlow and Josephine Alice Marlow; nine brothers, Fred Floyd, Tennessee, William Harrison, Bernard Edward, Raymond, Guy R., Ralph James, Kyle R. and Henry Marlowe; three grandchildren; and a daughter-in-law, Rozella Marlow.
Mr. Marlow was a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church in Bluford, was the Sunday school superintendent for over 40 years and was a member of the Marion-Jefferson Service Co. Board and member of the Bluford Grade School for 42 years.
